I just installed a Netgear WN311B wireless network adapter, and I've been having trouble getting the drivers installed. I've read conflicting things about whether the drivers from Netgear work or the drivers on windows 7 work, but neither seem to work for me. I've installed the drivers from the included CD, but the smart wizard then claims that the 'wireless adapter is not inserted.' The adapter is in, and the power lights are running. When I first started up my computer with the card inserted, Windows 7 attempted to install its own drivers, but it failed. Looking at the device manager, the adapter does not show up under ''network adapters,'' but a network controller in PCI Bus 1(I have 1 PCI Slot) has an error, so I'm assuming that's the device. When I try to uninstall it and get windows to reinstall its drivers for it, that fails as well. Getting drivers from Netgear's site is no better than running from the CD, after installing, both tell me that the adapter is not inserted. I've tried several other online solutions with no success on any of them, so if someone has any information on how to get this actually working, that would be really great.
