Intel G620 Vs I3
This guide will teach you how to run Mac OS on the new Intel Pentium G4560 Quad Thread 7th Gen Processor. You’re really only a few steps away from turning this awesome budget CPU into a hackintosh. What makes this CPU so great is the hyperthreaded design, which is new to the pentium lineup. Benchmark Results: When it comes to multi-core performance the Intel Pentium G620 was the only dual-core processor with no Hyper-Threading in the group and the performance wasn't enough to keep up with the other processors.
Intel Pentium Cpu G620
Hi everyone!
I'm new to this forum, and I've been lurking around for a while. So much great knowledge here!
I plan on building a budget-friendly custom system for my younger brother. It's kind of like a learning project that would be expandable for him as he goes along and gets more into modding and computing. The motherboard I have in mind is the Gigabyte GA-Z68P-DS3 (which is on the motherboard list on the Sandy Bridge CustoMac Buyer's Guide), and the processor I have in mind is an Intel Pentium G620 2.6GHz. It's a dual core, but unfortunately it only has support for the HD2000 graphics card. I know that the motherboard has room for expansion and upgrades.
I'd like to find out if anyone here tried setting up and running OS X with this CPU. It would likely pose a problem since it doesn't have HD3000 support.
Upgrades: graphics card and memory. A new CPU would come later, but for the time being I would just have the Pentium to play with.
Any input would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
Ryan
